Anglo-Saxon Theatre Performance

For Key Stage 2

The year is 925 and the date is 17th July. It’s Coronation Day of Aethelstan the Glorious. People have travelled across the Seven Kingdoms to witness the unfolding of this momentous occasion. Your children will be greeted by Sigeburg, an Anglo-Saxon market-trader, who, as well as trying to sell them his wares, will navigate them through the experiences of the day. The performance will end with your children re-enacting the Coronation themselves. See them as you’ve never seen them before; Knights, Lords and Ladies of Mercia and Wessex, The Archbishop and the King himself.
