From Around the World
SPLATT Theatre’s Folk and Fairytales are tailor-made for young children. We introduce your children to larger-than-life characters and themes, which they will immerse themselves in. Performances include; oral storytelling, music, song, lots of audience participation, with a splattering of mayhem, mischief and magic! Our performances are perfect for World Book Week, Storytelling Week, Library Openings, and any other celebrations.
Performances
The Tale of Abiyoyo – A south African Folk Tale about a girl who doesn’t stop singing, her potion-making mother whose potions are always wrong, causing hilarious consequences – including when her and her daughter set to work on the infamous troll, Abiyoyo.
The King’s Secret – A Punjabi Tale about a vain and non-listening King, whose fairy casts a spell, giving him HUGE ears. Lots of fun and meddling follows.
Splatt Theatre visited our pre-school to perform a show on World Book Day. The performance was amazing, and all the children were engaged and loving it. The show was perfect for our little ones, and they were shouting and laughing and joining in. I will be booking them again for next year!
